If using 3dconnexxion devices, use this driver version
Use the older version of the DxWare 64-bit drivers at https://3dconnexion.com/us/archived-drivers/?fwp_drivers_os=windows-10-64bit Drivers from 10.6.4 up to 10.6.8 work, but newer drivers don't because 3dconnexion made major changes to the SDK without letting anyone know about it. In the next versio...

Re: Windows 11 Now Supported
1) Please check that you are not using the 'S' version of Windows 11 as it restricts what you can do, and only permits installs from the Microsoft Store (which ControlMyNikon is not on). 2) Win11 22H2 works good here with the most recent release of ControlMyNikon. Does Windows recognize the camera w...

Re: Controlling audio software such as Ableton Live
I did try this on some video editing software way back, but it didn't allow an interface/api that would allow a spacemouse puck axis position to be received from the CMJ joystick driver.
Not sure about MIDI, but sounds like an interesting project.

Windows 11 Now Supported
So finally, ControlMyJoystick does support Windows 11 in the most recent version available for download. We held off on declaring it compatible with Windows 11 until we had more experience with Windows 11 and Win11 updates and the hardware combinations out there. It seems to be about as compatible a...

Re: Focus Stacking Without File Transfer to PC
Note: This also applies to ControlMyNikon. >>Is it possible to shoot a focus stack set of images without ControlMyCanon automatically transferring the camera's images to my PC? Yes, but it won't make an appreciable difference. It will still take at least 2 seconds to save on the card per image, whic...

Re: D780 no live view
If live view used to work with a particular body, but now just shows a black square, it could be: 1) The exposure settings on the camera are really dark. Go out of live view, adjust shutter speed, aperture or ISO so that it gives a brighter image that live view can see. Capture an image while not in...

Re: Version 2.1 Released
The HVDK has been discontinued and the download is no longer available. The trial version of ControlMyJoystick has the drivers as well, and they are not trial limited. You can use them as long as you don't redistribute/repackage them.

Re: anyone having problems with high res displays?
Hi Frank, I just wanted to add to this thread your solution for this problem that you mentioned in a subsequent tech support email. "The PC that has the scaling problem and the newer version (5.6.94.50) has two screens, only one of them is the high resolution display. Under "Program Proper...

Re: Live View Quality D7200
Hi Bob, The Nikon cameras have low resolution live view streams - so low that you can see the stream pixels on larger monitors. The resolution of the live view stream in the tutorial video would be the same as on your D7200. Best thing to do is use ControlMyNikon's GPU live view mode (set it in the ...

Re: turn off LED by default?
As you have seen, CMJ will flash the LED ring off-on and leaves it on, regardless of the previous state. There is no workaround, but we will try to get a fix for this in the next version.

Re: Solid Edge V16
Hi Luis,
This would not be possible unless the spaceball uses a Windows HID driver that shows up as a joystick, AND Solid Edge 16 supports it. So, doubtful.

Re: disappearing body and layer tabs
We have been seeing reports, especially on 4k monitors with higher display scaling rates than 150%, that have distorted user interface elements, missing tabs etc. Unfortunately, there is no workaround other than reducing the scaling, but that will likely make it unreadably small on laptops. We are f...

Hi,
ControlMyNikon can't connect directly via wifi. I have seen users running the Nikon utility which kind of acts as USB over Wifi, but we don't officially support it.

Re: Scripting
Hi Ken,
ControlMyNikon doesn't support scripting, and ironically the first versions were based almost entirely on scripting, but was later dropped.
I hope to have scripting back in the next version.
