Re: Which cable should I use to control a Nikon D850
It's always best to use the USB cable that came with the camera.

Re: Device cannot be opened [Solved]
That is good info, and I am still looking into this. I haven't been able to replicate the issue, although the leading candidate is something weird going on with the voice control, but more likely the 3dconnexion driver. The next version of CMJ won't use the 3dconnexion at all. I'll keep an eye out f...

Re: Does your keyboard support multiple languages (ex. Korean)?
This is a good question! We only support English keyboards right now and will be looking at supporting more languages soon.

Re: Elite: Dangerous
This is a good question, and the short answer is yes, you can have multiple axis inputs simultaneously and pass this through the CMJ output/joystick driver to a game. The long answer is yes it works, but practice, practice, practice. It took me a while to get it down, but now I can maneuver multiple...

Re: Device cannot be opened [Solved]
Which controller hardware are you using? I'll check again for memory leaks. How long roughly does it take before it slows down? Also, are you using voice recognition? Does it always happen in the same profile? If so, please let me know.

Re: Triggers
We don't have mouse and keyboard triggers due to the system hooks that we would have to install, which would cause a lot of security problems.

Re: Voice Attack Question
You can also use Voice Attack at the same time as CMJ. You just need to disable voice recognition in CMJ.

The D3500 is not supported. ControlMyNikon can be controlled via UDP and TCP trigger.

Re: Developer access
Hi,
There isn't a commandline option, and the D3400 and D3500 cameras are not supported since there isn't a SDK for it.

Re: Nikon D5100 macro photography
Hi Walt, Some suggestions: 1) Make sure you do a white balance in ControlMyNikon before each session by using a white or grey card. 'WB - Auto' will disappoint. 2) Adjust the lights so there is minimal reflection. A polarizing filter on the lens may be helpful here. 3) A ring light may be useful her...

Dev: Your Thoughts on Mouse Scripting
Note: This functionality may be included in 5.5.54.40 and later. I have completed the new relative mouse driver and add a script action to move the mouse by a relative position while optionally pressing mouse buttons. I have some test mouse recording code up and running that we could use to playback...

Re: Tethering features Nikon Z50
It's probably best to try to 14-day free trial, and along with the feature chart here: https://tetherscript.com/controlmynikon-comparison/ that should give you a good idea what it can do. Generally speaking, we don't provide functionality in ControlMyNikon to control seldom-changed settings on the b...

Unfortunately In ControlMyJoystick, there isn't a way to hold that middle mouse button down while moving the spacemouse puck to simulate that scrolling.

Re: Copying profiles and batch information to 2nd computer
You should be able to copy an installation of ControlMyNIkon to a different computer by:
1) Coping the data/TTCSETTINGS.FDB file only to the new computer.
2) And of course copy your custom batch files over as well.

Re: D750 - pictures from live view have different screen ratio
This cropping issue is likely due to the live view/movie physical switch on the back of the body being set to movie. Set it to live view and your captured images should no longer have any cropping.

I'm not sure what you mean by using a Python module here. ControlMyJoystick does not support Python scripts.

Re: Live View Nikon D850
When the camera is pointing straight down, it causes the body orientation sensor to get confused, which shows as the unstable image rotations. You'll need to shim the stand a bit so it is not perfectly vertical.

Re: Unable to initialize speech recognition
In Windows 10, search for 'microphone' and on the left side of the screen go to app permissions/microphone. You'll need to specify that ControlMyJoystick can have access to the microphone.

We are looking at a better remote experience on the Windows/iOS/Android apps. Not sure how we'll implement this though. Touch-Portal looks interesting, though we'd probably go in another direction.

Re: ControlMyJoystick in Unreal Engine
Well we tried making a xbox controller emulator driver, but it isn't the usual HID driver and has some complexity and licensing issues, so we won't have this any time soon.
