Sending keys to background window

Hi,
is it possible to send keystrokes from Virtual Keyboard Driver to a background window w/o focus? Basically driver should send keystrokes only to a selected process and real keyboard should still be available for normal user interaction.

Since it's driving a virtual keyboard, you should use it as a physical keyboard, it doesn't work like Windows SendMessage()
