Super Monkey Ball

Anyone managed to get this working on Steam? Seems like a perfect fit for the spacemouse. I've tried playing with all manner of controller settings in Steam as well as in CMJ to get it to pick up the joystick to no avail - any tips on integrating with various Steam titles?
