Attempt Contrast Focus

Hi, I can't use the Attempt Contrast Focus but I don't know why... I usually shoot with the same parameters, at the same distance and the colour Contrast is enough to allow the focusing. I tried to close the app and open again with no results, any helps? Thanks a lot

Not sure which camera is being used, but generally speaking the body must be set (in the on-camera menu) to a focus mode that allows the user to a focus by pressing the shoot button halfway down. There are other focus modes that auto-focus on action, or faces etc and these modes won't allow you to use the contrast focus button in ControlMyNikon.
