Shutter and Aperture not settable on Nikon 1 V3

Post by jeffry7 »

Hi Folks,

I am using the trial for ControlMyNikon 5.6.87.90 Pro. I can't seem to set the shutter or aperture. The options are greyed out. I can set the ISO. I can take shots. I can see the live view, but the shutter and aperture are greyed out.

What's going on?

This sounds like the body is set to P (program) mode where it determines the shutter and aperture itself. Please set it to M exposure mode and give ti a try.

Unfortunately, setting the camera to M exposure mode makes no difference; the shutter and aperture setting in ControlMyNikon are greyed out.

Not sure what is causing this. If you set the mode to M on the camera body, then connect with ControlMyNikon, are they both still greyed out? We'll take a look at this for the upcoming version.
