Live View Nikon D850

I just copied 1,000+ slides using live view and a slide copier without incident. Now shifting to copying prints with camera mounted on copystand (lens facing down to focus on print laying flat and face up) my live view is rapidly and constantly shifting orientation between portrait/landscape and even rotating the image upside down. It does not stabilize. When I remove the camera from the copystand and orient it in the normal shooting position, the live view image in the program becomes stable and properly oriented. Any suggestions?

When the camera is pointing straight down, it causes the body orientation sensor to get confused, which shows as the unstable image rotations. You'll need to shim the stand a bit so it is not perfectly vertical.
