Hello all,
I have been using CMN for quite a few years now, near exclusively for stacking. I have it set with a D7100 on a vertical rail (old enlarger) and a Nikon 105 macro lens. Sometimes with a diopter mag 2.3x. Continuous LED light. It all works fine and I love CMN. Now moving into minerals etc from a few inches square down to quite tiny, 0.25 inch or less. I have built a rail system for smaller subjects.
To obtain very high levels of “detail” I am taking portions of the subject, in turn as stacks then stacking them individually in Zerene, then stitching them together as a panorama in Photoshop. The result file is massive but O the detail.
I have built an automated subject X-Y move platform to shuffle the specimen along between sets based on timing intervals.
I would like to trigger CMN to capture a stack every few minutes between moves soI can leave and get on rather than wait, pressing the chapter key every time. Sometimes there are 10 to 20 sets of 40 shots to work though.
Question based on the above outline.
How to trigger CMN to take a stack sequence based on time or sensed movement of the specimen after a short delay.
Sorry to ask a rather unusual question but a challenge solves can make us stronger…….
