Focusing

Hello - I am attempting to use controlmynikon to autofocus or even manually use the buttons in the software using a UV crystal quarts lens (Coastal Optics UV-VIS-IR 60 mm 1:4 APO Macro). The lens does not have a manual/auto button on the side. is this still possible? I managed to use the auto focus and coarse/fine buttons in the software using a Nikon lens (set to M/A).
