Using manual focus lenses

I'm new here and using a Nikon D7100. I want to do macro work. My macro lenses are older manual focus lenses. My macro lenses work very well with my camera, but I set the camera to manual focus if I use them. The Control My Nikon instructions are very specific about setting the camera to autofocus. Can I set my camera to manual focus and use this lens?
