Older devices cause a crash by first press or move

Post by achimboett »

I looked in my box for old devices to decide to throw them away or to sell them on Ebay. Here I grabbed out a Wheel "Logitech wingman formula GP" and a Saitek "PC Dash 2.

In both cases Windows 10 64-Bit detected the right drivers and I select both (not similar) as HID in CMJ. But when I pressed one button or move any axis, CMJ crashes with a error report.

Is there any simple solution?

Maybe this belongs to the topic "Feature Requests" -> "you can use older devices"

There crash you encountered is caused by a bug in ControlMyJoystick that occurs when you use the joystick, but don't have a 3dConnexion device installed. This is fixed in the upcoming version, due out very soon.

If those older devices are recognized in the Windows game device joystick app in the control panel, then they should work with the new version of ControlMyJoystick.
